Cline vs. Rothfuss: Author Event

Ernest Cline vs. Patrick Rothfuss: Author Event

Here’s a great book to inspire the hacker in all of us!

Help us welcome Ernie Cline and Patrick Rothfuss as we celebrate the release of Cline's debut novel, Ready Player One.  If you lived through the 80s, are a video game junkie, or just plain like pop culture, this event is for you! This event will influde a head-to-head interview and 8-bit arcade insanity! Reservations are requested for this free event.

"Wade is a boy living in the future but he’s obsessed with our past. It’s 2044 and the richest man the
world has ever known, game designer James Halliday, has just died and left a challenge to the entire
world. Scattered across the virtual universe Halliday created called OASIS are three keys and three
gates, the first gamer to find the three keys and unlock the three gate will win control of Halliday’s
company and all of its riches. To find the keys gamers must learn what made Halliday tick and that
means learning everything about the era he grew up in, the 80’s. To win the challenge Wade will have
to not only learn everything he can about the else 80’s but also stay one step ahead of the corporation
that will stop at nothing, not even murder, to find the keys and gates first. “Ready Player One” is
a grown up “Willie Wonka” for a digital generation and it’s the most fun you’ll have with a book all
summer long." - Matt Norcross
