Hendrix has returned with another outlandish and fantastic novel of epic proportions.  Kris, the former guitarist for a heavy metal band named Durt Wurk is down and out with limited options left in life.  Her former bandmate and arch rival Terry Hunt announces that the demonic farewell tour of his new band, Koffin, will be taking place in the Nevada desert.  This enrages Kris, it’s like her life has been slowly sucked away from her since she left the band and never got the money that Terry owed her.  Kris heads to Scottie Rocket’s house to try and come to terms with the sadness she feels.  They go from reminiscing with each other to full on crazypants in a matter of minutes.  There is no turning back, and it looks like Terry was up to more than just making music.  She embarks on a cross-country road trip all over America to try and find her former band members and make Terry pay. Almost as soon as she gets on the road there are demons breathing down her neck as the bodies start to pile up where ever she goes. Is there a satanic rehab center in her future?  Perhaps one of her former bandmates may try and sell her out.  No matter what, she won’t give up 'til she gets the answers she is looking for.
We Sold Our Souls is one of the best road trip stories.  From beginning to end, journeying alongside Kris and her compadres is a full-speed-ahead, fantastic voyage full of dark metal songs, average crazies, and nefarious evil entities.  If you like campy action adventure stories with clever plot twists and unbelievable left turns along the way, jump in the car with Kris and friends and try and save Durt Wurk -and maybe the world.

Description

In this hard-rocking, spine-tingling supernatural thriller, the washed-up guitarist of a ’90s heavy metal band embarks on an epic road-trip across America and deep into the web of a sinister conspiracy.

Every morning, Kris Pulaski wakes up in hell. In the 1990s she was lead guitarist of Dürt Würk, a heavy-metal band on the brink of breakout success until lead singer Terry Hunt embarked on a solo career and rocketed to stardom, leaving his bandmates to rot in obscurity.

Now Kris works as night manager of a Best Western; she’s tired, broke, and unhappy. One day everything changes—a shocking act of violence turns her life upside down, and she begins to suspect that Terry sabotaged more than just the band. Kris hits the road, hoping to reunite Dürt Würk and confront the man who ruined her life. Her journey will take her from the Pennsylvania rust belt to a celebrity rehab center to a satanic music festival. A furious power ballad about never giving up, We Sold Our Souls is one woman’s epic journey to reclaim her life—and save her soul.
