Author Event with Chef Jim Voltz

After graduating from Iowa State University with a degree in engineering, Jim Voltz spent over thirty years working in the petro-chemical industry. But it was while he was the managing Director of the International Division of Petrofina and located in Petrofina’s Paris offices that he had a chance to pursue his avocation, cooking. He attended the legendary Le Cordon Bleu Culinary School and completed their training for non-professional chefs, earning a certificate of completion and the right to be called “chef”. Jim is the author of “Brunch on the Porch”, “Simple Meals on the Porch”, “Hors d’oeuvres on the Porch” and “Dinner on the Porch”. He lives in Crystal Lake, Michigan.

Jim has made the recipes as simple and detailed as possible with tips along the way to ensure your success. Each book also includes stories about some of the characters who have come to dinner or brunch on Jim's porch and original drawings by local artist Chris Patterson.
