It's one of the biggest days of the year for McLean and Eakin! April 20th is the day we can proudly proclaim that we have given over $100,000.00 to local schools and non-profit organizations through our 10% for schools program!
Today we will celebrate the spirit of giving. PRIZES, RAFFLES, AND GIVEAWAYS all day long! Spot the Dog will be here afterschool from 3-4, and kids can come have their picture taken with the big fluffy dog. Local elementary schools will be visiting throughout the day to listen to a story. Anyone is welcome to sit in and listen to a story as well. Stop in anytime between 9am-8pm to celebrate the spirit of giving with McLean and Eakin, the little bookstore that gives BIG!

For over 16 years, McLean and Eakin has been donating 10% of your designated purchases to local schools and non-profits.
When you buy from a local, independently owned store like ours, you put money directly back into your community. Some of those channels are indirect. The 10% for schools program is a direct, easy way to see exactly how you help us to make a difference.
Everytime you make a purchase at McLean and Eakin, you may choose a school or a non-profit organization, and we will donate 10% of your purchase to that organization in the form of money for free books from our store.
Why do we do it? The bottom line is that we want to bring the experience of the joy and love of reading to as many in our community as we can.
